Cocktails served in baubles and tea infused with whisky are just two of the treats awaiting customers at the newest and most festive bar in town.

The former Living Room site on Grey Street has been transformed into a kitsch Christmas grotto complete with a themed drinks menu.

A festive arch of foliage and fairy lights marks the entrance to ‘Miracle on Grey Street’ and Christmas tunes fill the air.

Serving its naughty and nice-themed tipples, the pop-up will be open until Christmas Eve.

Inside, the walls are decked with red, green and gold garlands, fir trees and thousands of twinkling lights, with a Santa and sleigh taking centre stage.

Our favourite decoration however, was a sign posting left to Lapland and right to the…toilets.

Classic Christmas movies play continuously on screens above the bar accompanied by a sound track of non-stop festive hits.

Even the elves… sorry, staff, are in on the action with special seasonal uniforms.

“This is where Christmas really begins,” said Atul Malhotra, operations director for owner Malhotra Group plc. “And where we will be celebrating right up until the big day.

“I can guarantee nowhere else has gone to as much trouble as we have to create the perfect, traditional Christmas atmosphere – from our Santa displays and decorations, to our superb artwork and specially created cocktails.

“If Miracle on Grey Street doesn’t put you in the mood for Christmas then nothing will.”

Along with a full range of wines, spirits, beers, lagers and ciders, the Miracle on Grey Street bar will be serving hot drinks, mulled wine and cider.

There’s even a range of themed cocktails for those who have been naughty or nice.

Miracle on Grey Street is open daily from 12 noon to midnight (children are welcome until 8pm) and can be exclusively hired for parties of up to 120 people.
