Cabana’s new £1m investment has 150 covers along with a dedicated Caipirinha Bar, making Cabana the ideal place to inject some South American energy into your life.
On Wednesday 20th April, Cabana brought the heat to Newcastle with a Latin-inspired party that got people’s taste buds tingling and hips shaking! Flying in from Brazil, Francisco Ernani Lima da Silva, better known as Mirandinha, was the guest of honour at the huge VIP launch party bringing with him ex-Newcastle United footballers Lee Payne, John Anderson and Joe Allon.
Critically acclaimed Latino champion DJ Carlito was there to help get the party started and got the dancefloor going with some classic tunes ensuring everyone danced the night away whilst sampling the classic Caipirinha cocktails and Skewers.
Guests sampled an array of Cabana’s colourful barbecue skewers, including their best-selling Spicy Malagueta Chicken and Cassava fries, as well as a selection of Brasilian street food snacks such Crispy Lula Squid with Malagueta Mayo and Spicy Malagueta Chicken Doughnuts!
The designated Caipirinha bar really saw the party in full swing with Cabana’s signature Caipirinha cocktails being served in three different flavours alongside Brasilian craft beers and wine.
Located in the historic Co-Operative Building on Newgate Street, Cabana’s new 4200 sq ft restaurant will seat 150 covers serving Brasilian street food, skewers and Caipirinhas making Cabana the ideal place to inject some South American energy into your life. The award winning Brasilian barbecue restaurant, was founded in 2011 by Jamie Barber (Hush, Villandry, Sake No Hana) and David Ponté (Momo). Along with the ten sites, Jamie and David released Cabana: The Cookbook, published by Quadrille in May 2014.
