LUXURY high street jeweller Goldsmiths are hosting a competition with a difference this weekend within thier intu Eldon Square showroom, to add extra sparkle to Mother’s Day.

On Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th March, the city centre store will be collecting entries for favourite memories of mums, grandmas, sisters, aunties and mother figures alike to celebrate Newcastle’s best mothers.

One lucky winner will be chosen at the end of the day on Mothering Sunday itself (6th March) and they will walk away with a diamond pendant worth £500 and a £100 gift card to spend in Goldsmiths.

To mark the occasion, Saturday 5th March will see the arrival of a Wishing Tree for customers to hang cards from with the memories written on. Shoppers are invited to enjoy a glass of bubbles and cupcakes from local bakery Rachael’s Kitchen over the weekend, while they browse the current collection.

A recent refurbishment in-store saw the impressive addition of an OMEGA branded area and the launch of two established brands – Casio and Links of London – alongside its current range of watches and jewellery. Goldsmiths is the UK’s largest high street retailer with over 100 stores nationwide and was the first official Rolex retailer in the country.

Priding itself on offering choice to its customers, Goldsmiths operates the largest distribution network for Rolex, OMEGA and TAG Heuer as well as many other reputable watch brands. The Goldsmiths Servicing & Repairs offer employs more watchmakers than any other UK High Street Retailer with onsite watchmakers available at a number of stores.
