Cobalt Business Park in North Tyneside are asking their 14,000+ workforce to join the Mo Cobalt team to raise awareness and funds for men’s health this Movember.

Movember is a month-long campaign organised by the Movember Foundation to raise funds and awareness for men’s health. It happens in the month formerly known as November. Each year they encourage men to grow and groom moustaches. That simple change in behaviour generates awareness and funds for men’s health. The Movember Foundation is the global charity raising funds and awareness for men’s health.

Since 2003, they have encouraged millions of men and women to join the global men’s health movement. Through the moustaches grown, the connections created, and the conversations generated, raising over £400 million and helped fund over 1,000 breakthrough men’s health programmes across 21 countries. We aim to have an everlasting impact on men’s health.

When it comes to their health, too many men don’t talk, don’t take action and die too young. Movermber aims to help men live happier, healthier, longer lives.

As participants need to start 1st Movember clean-shaven, Spud & Lettuce healthy fast food take away at Cobalt Central will be transformed into a pop-up barbershop on Thursday October 29th with Chris Moon, The Geordie Barber offering free express wet shaves to Cobalt Mo Bros.

Chris will be giving up his time to shave down as many Cobalt Mo Bros as possible on the 29th to get them ready for the big 1st November kick off Mo grow day.

Spud and Lettuce provide a choice of healthy fresh fast food to their customers, interested in maintaining good health has lead the Spud and Lettuce team to commit to supporting the month of Movember and what it stands for by hosting the shave down, growing Mos and offering special Mo Menus.

Amy Carroll, Events & Communications Manager at Cobalt Business Park said “We are delighted to be supporting Movember again, this has been a really exciting year for Cobalt with hundreds of new staff joining the park, and they have fully embraced the sense of community we have here.”

Simon Gould, owner, added “Promoting good health is something we are passionate about, however some things are often out of our control. Being able to support this brilliant cause, both through the team becoming Mo Bros and allowing shop space to be used for the essential Shavedown”.

Chris Moon, Owner of The Geordie Barber added “We were delighted to be able to support Movember again this year as a traditional family run Barbershop in North Shields and Whitley we wanted to offer our wet shave expertise to the masses locally at Cobalt to help support this wonderful cause”

“We are offering the shaves for free but can accept and donations for the foundation on the day, to do our bit towards helping them change the face of men’s health.”
