LE BREVE clothing was founded in 1974 and first opened its doors on Hood Street, Newcastle Upon Tyne. With its Pioneering designs, the independent clothing brand was certainly the ‘avant-garde’ for North East fashion during the 70’s era.
During the 80’s, the brand grew from strength to strength achieving iconic status amongst Newcastle’s young and trendy; anyone who was anyone sported Le Breve, with pride! The 1990’s was a relatively quiet decade for the brand. However, after a takeover in 2006, Le Breve had somewhat of a renaissance with its exciting new owner injecting fresh ideas and marketing strategies into the business including the introduction of women’s wear.
“The brand is once again flying the flag for the North East fashion industry…”
The brand is once again flying the flag for the North East fashion industry and continues to work at designing premier men’s clothing for a variety of independent retailers, on a national and international level.
Le Breve’s ethos is clear- It’s about being current. It’s about giving good value, sticking to principles and it’s about ensuring the highest quality standards are maintained. Their fresh new look combines smart street wear with sport influences, creating edgy, clean styles, using combinations of technical yet functional fabrics.
The exciting Le Breve SS15 Collection has encapsulated this Summer’s must have trends including; smart collar Polo shirts, Grandad collared tees, marl coloured sweat tops and bold coloured shorts. Superior quality fabrics have been used to create comfortable apparel which can be worn both day and night.
Geometric printing and stripes are incorporated throughout the range along with soothing summer pastel colours in order to complement summer tans.
Cuffed sleeved tees have been introduced to accentuate arm definition from those intense winter workouts.
With Prices ranging from £15 to £70, I will definitely be stocking my wardrobe with some of this top clobber and have no doubt that the famous bird logo will be sported in the stands of St James’ Park to the streets of San Antonio this Spring/Summer.
