The British steakhouse chain, which serves 2000 rib eyes per week, has taken up residence in Ant and Dec’s former pub transforming the impressive Grade II-listed building into the city’s latest discerning eating venue.
The restaurant, which is situated at the bottom of Newcastle’s picturesque Grey Street, has utilised all of the building’s three floors enabling its Patrons to dine in its plush, spacious surroundings. The venue’s impressive interior is adorned with iconic pictures, collages and sculptures of the masculine bull, like some ancient Greek homage.
M&C opened its doors to the public on Friday, offering 28-day aged massive pieces of prime beef loveliness. And they know what their talking about as they’re all about expertise; the entire Newcastle team have attended a bespoke butchery demonstration, and are receiving specialist training designed to render them veritable steak boffins.
Miller & Carter’s menu offers eight fail safe, mouth watering cuts from rump to chateaubriand which are joined by other offerings including; handmade burgers, seafood and veggie dishes. Starters include dusted calamari and lemongrass & chilli tempura king prawns, while we can expect Belgian chocolate ganache and lemon Meringue roulade to finish.
Make sure you steak it out, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.
