BUDDING adventurers are invited to an open evening to find out about a Mt. Kilimanjaro trek fundraiser for Smile For Life Children’s Charity.
The charity, which aims to make a real difference to the lives of disadvantaged and disabled children,is holding the information meeting at their Gosforth-based Café Beam for anyone interested in the Kilimanjaro trek set for October 2016.
Organisers Rare Adventures will have staff on hand to talk people through the exciting expedition and will include a presentation and Q and A session to find out what to expect.
Paula Gascoigne, CEO of Smile For Life, has signed up for the challenge and will be there to talk about the charity. She said: “This is the ultimate challenge of a lifetime and I can’t wait! It is the perfect opportunity to experience one of the seven natural wonders of the world while raising money for such an amazing cause.
“As a charity we will support everyone with their fundraising targets, and ensure they have all of the help they need. The money raised will make such a difference to so many young people’s lives in the North East. It will also be a fantastic personal achievement for 2016 for anyone who takes part.
