A virtual shooting range is due to open in Newcastle where customers can enjoy target practice over cocktails.
Work has started in the old Cabana unit at The Gate and on target to open this February. The site will be sectioned up into circular booths where customers can pick up replica firearms and shoot targets on state-of-the-art big screens.
Point Blank Shooting use an American simulator program, with more than 200 games and scenarios to choose from.
Each range can be booked by groups of up to six shooters, with prices starting at £30 per hour.
Behind the bar will be a range of cocktails with gun pun names – like Bite the Bullet, Firing Blanks, Mexican Stand Off and Half Cocked – served alongside a food menu featuring hot dogs, ribs, chicken wings and mac ‘n’ cheese.
The operators behind Point Blank Shooting promise to present a safe, fun and immersive experience in an environment that reflects these values, explaining how the range will feature simulated shooting using state-of-the-art technology from the US, where the systems are used by professionals to train and develop skills in non-live round environments.
