This week, the name behind Newcastle’s The Botanist set a new record at The Publican Awards 2017 by winning a staggering six accolades, more than any other company within the awards 26-year history.
The New World Trading Company (NWTC) won every category they were nominated in, which included Best Drinks Offer, Best Managed Pub Company, Best New Pub/Bar, Best Pub Operations, Best Pub Brand/Concept and Best Pub Employer (500 plus employees).
Chris Hill, Chief Executive Officer of NWTC, believes the incredible achievement to be down to the hard work and passion of all the 1,200 staff that work across the estate. NWTC operates under the brands of The Botanist, The Trading House, The Clubhouse, The Oast House and The Smugglers Cove.
Chris said: “We have already had an exceptional start to the year and being recognised across the board is an unbelievable achievement. I am proud of every member of the New World Trading Company team from the incredible operations team through to those working at each site to ensure every customer has the best experience.
“We have big plans for the rest of the year both internally with ourrevolutionary engagement scheme ‘Tribes’ and for our customers, we have new pubs openings in Didsbury (Manchester), Reading and Birmingham. We can’t wait to get started.”
