The date and venue of the biggest beauty contest ever to be staged in this region – Miss North East GB 2015, has just been announced.
This spectacular one-night event will take place on Saturday 4th July at the impressive Grand Marquee at Wynyard Hall and will encompass Miss Newcastle GB, Miss Sunderland GB, Miss Durham GB and Miss Teesside GB, with a winner crowned for each title.
The grand finale event, organised by Headline Models and One Voice Productions, together with Metro Radio and TFM, will see sixty overall finalists, fifteen representing each area, take part in a series of rounds to win their respective titles. Each winner will receive a selection of great prizes, a modelling contract and go on to represent their region in the Miss Great Britain Grand Final in September.
“It’s been a whirlwind for me since winning Miss Newcastle GB 2014. I was honoured to represent Newcastle in the Miss Great Britain Grand Final and came in 6th which was incredible. I would urge anyone thinking of entering to go for it; it has been the best year of my life.”- Nicole Bailey, Miss Newcastle GB
Miss North East GB Director Simon Robertson said: “We are thrilled to be bringing this very special event to the North East. The Grand Marquee at Wynyard Hall is the perfect location right in the heart of the region and has the WOW factor that is fitting for this amazing occasion. This year’s theme is “Icon’s” and the catwalk show will be a spectacular sight in this luxurious venue so put 4th July in the diary and don’t miss out!”
Local charity Cash for Kids are benefitting from the event and Regional Manager Stephanie Simpson said: “We are delighted to be the beneficiary of this very special event in 2015. Every finalist will be helping to raise funds for our charity and it’s a fantastic way for the girls to demonstrate their commitment to helping others, which will be crucial if they go on to represent their country. Wynyard’s Grand Marquee is such an impressive setting and we hope that the region get behind this event and help to raise funds for disabled and disadvantaged children.”
Organisers want this unique event to be a pageant with a difference and for entrants to reflect the real women of the North East. Entries are currently open for females aged 17 – 27, entrants can be married or divorced and they can have children.
